The Ordway presents: GreenRoom

The Ordway’s GreenRoom is a paid musical theater training fellowship created by and for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) artists. I’m excited to announce that I had a chance to be one of the faculty, working with Jared Miller (collaborative pianist) to bring to life “Singing Your Story”, a 10 day class focusing on storytelling through musical theater, foundational vocal pedagogy and auditioning techniques.

We just wrapped up on Closing Session for GreenRoom at the Ordway and it was transformative. The ten fellows that participated in this fellowship took this opportunity by the reins and made the experience their own. It was a joy to create a space that explore vulnerability, singing across many styles and challenged our fellows to bring a new audition piece to life.
